HSCC Finals 14/15 October. Silverstone: More Good News.Following a great run at Spa just two weeks ago Barton Racing arrived at Silverstone and the HSCC 60 minute Guards Trophy Race full of anticipation, with both Harry, and the TVR, on top form. They did not leave disappointed, finishing 9th overall among a whole host of specialised lightweight cars, and first GT across the line. In many ways the Guards Trophy was treated by most, as a one hour test session for next Saturday’s (21 October) MRL Royal Automobile Club Pall Mall Cup. The UK season ending with this full on, three hour endurance race, taking in the Silverstone GP circuit. In the meantime although the BMW 1800 TiSA was also entered for the Finals Meeting, where it was due to appear in 2×25 minute races, unexplained oil surge on fast corners led to its withdrawal, giving plenty of prep time before Portugal and the Masters Algarve Festival meeting where it will be appearing beside the Barton Racing BMW 2002.
