Welcome to Barton Racing
As expected, Barton Racing has launched itself, full on, into the 2025 season with an ever increasing vibrancy. Harry, concentrating 100% on his career and Le Mans target, has wasted little time, taking on the sport’s leading sports car drivers, and competing in two championships, the Britcar Series, here in the UK (BMW M3), and the all important NLS Series for GT4/GT3 cars, based at Germany’s Nurburgring. As a diversion, and as a form of relaxation, Harry has also been racing historic cars from the Barton Racing stable, including demonstration of our iconic Lister Storm at Goodwood Festival of Speed prior to him racing the car later in the season. Naturally the busy schedule includes more than a few test days, spread across Europe and further afield. Finally, as motor racing is full of surprises, Harry’s planning remains flexible enough to include invitation drives as and when they arise, which, with just a little bit of luck, and more hard work, is definitely going to happen. Watch this space, or better still, follow our progress across social media, and come visit us in the paddock. The door is always open, except on the race track.

Our Story
1966 was a great year for England. As it turns out, it also wasn’t bad year for MG. Harry Barton’s first car was a beautifully restored MGB Roadster, with less than 400 miles on the clock. This was an absolutely stunning car, purchased from ADW Automotive and a chap called Adrian Wilson. The Barton family went on to buy a TR6, Triumph Spitfire and a 1959 MGA from Adrian, forming the basis of Harry’s induction into classic motoring.

Race report – Donington – June 18th 2022
The day started off rather dull, with none of the glorious weather we had been recently been blessed with, although considering our performances in the wet at Cadwell Park, I was rather hoping it would rain to give us an advantage. But alas, no - only grey weather....
Race report – Thruxton – June 11th-12th 2022
After staying at a nearby hotel to the circuit, I arrived with itchy eyes and a stuffed nose due to the high pollen count over the weekend. This was going to be a tough one. The team managed to book me a 30 minute practice in the morning before qualifying. This would...
Race report – Cadwell Park – June 4th-5th 2022
The weekend started with a brief qualifying session on the Saturday. As I’d never been to Cadwell Park before, this 15 minutes would be critical. In these 9 or so laps, I needed to find the limit, find my braking spots and find potential spots for overtaking. All...
Race report – Masters Brands Hatch 28th – 29th May 2022
This weekend wasn’t the early start it usually is for the trip to Brands. We were lucky with the timetable meaning that we could wake at normal time and make our way down, arriving at the circuit 10.00am. Things were well underway on arrival, with the circuit roaring...

Race report Mallory Park 14-15/5/22
I woke and immediately looked out window to see what the weather was looking like. Much to my dismay it was a slightly dreary morning. Unfortunate as I’m not a fan of cold damp weather. Not fun for waiting around. However, as it turned out the day brightened up and...
Race report Donington 30/4/22 – 1/5/22
A clear blue sky and sunshine hinted at the amazing weather we were going to be gifted with throughout the day. Donington is a local track to Barton Racing, so it wasn’t an outrageous wake up time as previous races have been. However, although a ‘home track’ we have...
Race report Snetterton 24/04/22
A story of curbing and Cortina’s. Arriving on a clear, sunny, yet windy day at the Snetterton circuit, we were warmly welcomed by the team @retroengineeringltd with bacon rolls, tea and coffee. At 8:15 drivers for the historic touring car race were summoned for the...
Down The Hatch: HSCC Brands Hatch 2/3 April 2022
Nineteen year old Harry Barton (BMW 1800Ti) will never forget his first two Historic Touring Car races at Brands Hatch as a full on racing driver. Thrown in at the deep end, twice in one afternoon young Harry was to come up against one of the best drivers in the...
Sponsorship Opportunity
Whilst it’s still very early in Harry’s development, with a very promising first season and a busy schedule ahead, we are already thinking about sponsorship. With comments like;
“I’m tipping Mr. Barton as a future champion.”
Peter Baker. Retro-Speed Social Media
“His rate of progress is outrageous.”
Sam Hancock
“The best of the Touring cars was the BMW 1800Ti of young Harry Barton”
Perhaps we’re not too ahead of ourselves?!
We will certainly be looking for a headline sponsor for next season. It’s also not too late to get involved this season. If you’re interested in getting in early and having an initial exploratory conversation, do please get in touch.
If you’d simply like us to keep you posted on developments, just let us know.
