Welcome to Barton Racing

Barton Racing. It has a certain ring to it. Brief and to the point. Target Le Mans, and Le Mans Classic 2025 with some fun along the way. Three years ago we were a virgin outfit fighting for a place at the front of the grid. Well, not any more. The gods have been kind and during 2022, Harry Barton, still only twenty, put together a series of class wins with the BMW 1800 TiSA. Cherry on the cake? Winning the HSCC Historic Touring Car Championship. Then, after another busy season, in September 2023, the Barton family, and Harry, took another major move forward by taking overall victory in the prestigious Royal Automobile Club Pall Mall Cup endurance series, the glorious sounding TVR Griffith prepared, and co driven by Ollie Reuben.And suddenly the 2024 season is upon us. Plan being, for Harry to further concentrate on his dream to race at Le Mans. And with this in mind the team have commissioned a new Toyota Supra GT4 EVO to race in both America and Europe under the supervision of top racing coach and manager, Nigel Greensall.So there we have it. 2024, and a busy schedule mixing modern and historics, with a dash of drag racing along the way involving elder brother George. Well we did say it was a family affair.

Our Story

1966 was a great year for England. As it turns out, it also wasn’t bad year for MG. Harry Barton’s first car was a beautifully restored MGB Roadster, with less than 400 miles on the clock. This was an absolutely stunning car, purchased from ADW Automotive and a chap called Adrian Wilson. The Barton family went on to buy a TR6, Triumph Spitfire and a 1959 MGA from Adrian, forming the basis of Harry’s induction into classic motoring.

The Goal

The Barton family has put together an exciting five-year plan. The aim of this plan is to help Harry achieve his ambition, which is for people to respect him the way that they clearly respect Sam. When Carl asked Harry what he wanted to achieve in racing, he said that he could do worse than follow Sam’s path and ultimately get to race a DB4GT at Goodwood, joining the ranks of the BRDC, and perhaps race for a UK team in LMP/LMH class.

Sponsorship Opportunity

Whilst it’s still very early in Harry’s development, with a very promising first season and a busy schedule ahead, we are already thinking about sponsorship. With comments like;

“I’m tipping Mr. Barton as a future champion.”
Peter Baker. Retro-Speed Social Media

“His rate of progress is outrageous.”
Sam Hancock

“The best of the Touring cars was the BMW 1800Ti of young Harry Barton”

Perhaps we’re not too ahead of ourselves?!

We will certainly be looking for a headline sponsor for next season. It’s also not too late to get involved this season. If you’re interested in getting in early and having an initial exploratory conversation, do please get in touch.
