Another Win Closes A Second Season For Barton Racing Held in the south of Portugal close by Portimao, a stone’s throw from the beach, this popular Masters meeting traditionally brings the race season to a close. OK, it’s a long trek from home, but Barton Racing never does things by halves, just one day after the TVR winning at Silverstone both BMWs were in the truck and Mike was back on the road on the road. Harry and the rest of us in the team flew to Faro, rented a car and bingo we all met up at the circuit ready for testing. And guess what. It was raining. Anyway object of the exercise was for Harry to win the Masters, one hour, Pre-66 Touring Car Race in the BMW 1800 TiSA, which he did. So everybody was happy. He also took on the locals in a pair of 25 minute races which was great fun. Not often you see our BMW 2002 and a full blown Porsche 911 RSR on the same grid. Again Harry came away with Group 2 category wins making it three out of three. It just leaves team principle Carl Barton to thank everyone involved, including Retro Engineering preparers, Nigel, Tom, Neil and Alison.
