Race Report
Sebring International Raceway 9-12 November 2023
A Switch to Modern Racing. Two Back-to-Back Endurance Races. And With Temperatures hitting 32 Degrees, Every Lap a Hot One. Barton Racing made the long trip to Sebring in Florida, not to just escape the rubbish British weather, but to make their first, all important first move towards widening Harry’s career as a ‘full blown’ race driver. Thus, he found himself at the wheel of a new Toyota Supra GT4 EVO, prepared by Toyota Gazoo Racing and entered in two rounds of the WRL Endurance Championship, both eight hours, and held on consecutive days. The car was shared by our good friend, and top all round driver, Nigel Greensall. It was a dream weekend thanks to massive support from Geoff Steel Racing, and US based, Thunder Bunny Racing. The new, out of the box Supra, never missed a beat, resulting in two extremely well earned third places overall. With more experience and pit practice, who knows, next time, and that may be as close as next January, Barton Racing, and Harry could be wearing the winner’s garland?
