Britcar Rounds One and Two. Mission Accomplished for Harry Barton.
At a sunny Silverstone on 5th April 2025 thirty-five cars lined up for Race 1 of the 2025 Britcar Championship, the Barton Racing red, white and blue BMW E46 M3 (Powered by Geoff Steel), ninth on the grid. After a full thirty-nine laps of intense racing Harry crossed the line, first GT, and seventh place overall. Unfortunately Race 2 was cut short following an early accident, becoming little more than a fifteen-minute sprint. A pity, as Harry was up to fifth, and with tyres nicely warmed was putting in some great lap times, including a new personal best. Anyway, sometimes events work against you, and Harry, although again class winner, had to settle for thirteenth place.
